The surgeon will design and create the recipient sites where the grafts will be placed. Natural hairlines will be designed, and the angle of the hair and direction of the hair placement will be determined to mimic Mother Nature. Tiny closely-placed needle incisions (Dense Packing) are made in an undulating and random fashion.
The permanent hair bearing follicular unit grafts are then placed into the sites under magnification for absolute precision. Single hair grafts are used to construct the hairline and as the surgeon works back, he will place gradually larger grafts containing 2 and 3 hair groups.  This Dense Packing of grafts allows a closer placement of hair for a very natural appearance.

Besides the inherited etiology, which makes up over 90% of hair loss, there are many other reversible and irreversible forms of hair loss. Some examples of these other types of hair loss may include but are not limited to stress, iron deficiency, thyroid disease, traction alopecia, trauma and medication.
